■Seminar Description:
This three-day seminar is intended for international students who wish to acquire an understanding of crystallography, the principles of X-ray diffraction, and experimental techniques on both powder diffraction and thin film analysis. Graduate students and researchers are also welcomed.

In the lecture part, students will be introduced to basic crystallography, theory and practice of X-ray diffraction, data processing, unit cell refinement and structure analysis. Students completing the lecture part may opt to take the following laboratory courses, where they will learn how to conduct practical powder diffraction experiment and thin film analysis. Detailed instruction on sample preparation, data collection and data analysis will be provided.

The seminar will be limited to 20 participants.
